Sacramento State women reach milestone

The last time the Sacramento State women lost a Big Sky Conference match, Barack Obama was an obscure Illinois state senator.
Sac State won its 100th straight Big Sky contest Sunday morning, dominating Northern Colorado 6-1 in the Sacramento suburb of Gold River. The Hornets made it 101 in the afternoon with a 7-0 shellacking of North Dakota, also in Gold River.
Sac State, whose last conference loss came against Weber State on April 14, 2001, will return to action on Thursday against Long Beach State. The nonconference match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Rio Del Oro Racquet Club in Sacramento.
