Cal pair loses in Pacific Coast Men's Doubles final

   Eighth-seeded Gustavo Gonzalez and Bojan Szumanski of Rice edged unseeded Filip Bergevi and Mads Engsted of Cal 7-6 (4) on Sunday to win the 125th Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship in La Jolla.
   The tournament was plagued by rain.

Daria Savchenko 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Records: Washington 10-2, Sac State 1-7. Note: The Hornets lost 4-3 for the fifth time.
   UC Davis def. Sonoma State 4-2 in Davis. No. 1 singles: Megan Heneghan led Sara Celma 6-4, 5-4, unfinished. Clinching match: At No. 4, Melissa Kobayakawa def. Sheena Johnson 6-1, 6-4. Records: UC Davis 5-5, Sonoma State 4-4.
