Gibbs, Austin beat Dream again in WTT

The California Dream started well, but it was downhill from there.
The Austin Aces beat the Dream for the second consecutive night, 22-16 in a World TeamTennis match on Friday at Dream Stadium at Sunrise Mall in the Sacramento suburb of Citrus Heights.
California won the opening set 5-2 behind Tennys Sandgren and Neal Skupski in men's doubles. But Austin took the last four sets to improve to 4-0 and hand the Dream (2-3) its first home loss in its inaugural season.
Nicole Gibbs, a 22-year-old former Stanford star and WTT rookie, won both of her sets for Austin. She teamed with Alla Kudryavtseva for a 5-3 victory in women's doubles and clinched the match by nipping Jarka Gajdosova 5-4 (5-4) in the last set, women's singles.
California lost to Austin 20-19 in Austin, Texas, on Thursday night.
The Dream will return to action tonight at 7:30 against the Boston Lobsters (3-2) at Sunrise Mall.
